History of Saic Nursing College

Nursing colleges of saic group are pioneers in the nursing education sector in Bangladesh, with a strong commitment to creating highly skilled health professionals and improving the quality of life for individuals, facilities, and communities. The first nursing college of Saic Group, Saic nursing college, was established in dhaka in 2015. Subsequently, the group expanded its reach by establishing five additional nursing colleges in different districts to prioritize remote and underprivileged areas: Rumdo nursing college (Mymensingh), Jashim uddin nursing college (Jamalpur), Anowara nursing college (Dinajpur), Dalia nursing college (Bogura), and Monowara nursing college (Thakurgaon). M.SC IN NURSING

M.Sc. Nursing, short for Master of Science in Nursing, is a master’s level program. The course aims to cater for the field of Nursing and Applied Science. Duration of M.Sc. Nursing for two years. Delivery Method Nursing course of M.Sc includes lectures, seminars, practical work, extensive lab and field training. Students are required to submit their research thesis in the last semester of the program. In the final evaluation, students’ class assignments, research projects, and end-semester exams are taken into consideration. Eligibility criteria for M.Sc include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of nursing. The course syllabus is divided into two years. MSc first year. Nursing, students study advanced nursing topics, clinical nursing, nursing education and research and statistics. In the second year of the program, students study nursing management and work on their research thesis.

The requirement for Admission

After completing B.Sc, there is an opportunity to do M.Sc in Nursing (Nursing Management, Community Health Nursing, Adult and Elderly Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing) in this college.

Job Facilities

After successful completion of nursing course there are job opportunities in government / private hospitals, clinics and NGOs. Besides, after the course, IELTS, OET, CGFNS courses are available for high salary RN (Registered Nurse) positions in various European countries.

B.Sc in Nursing

B.Sc in Nursing is a four years course under The University of Dhaka and affiliated by Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council. Nursing is a great profession. After completing this course you will be able to be an expert nurse and you will get a great opportunity for servicing in the human being. There are so many Hospital, clinic & Diagnostic center but they do not have any qualified expert nurse. Our objective is to produce competent professional nurses who will be able to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and attitude to provide quality of Nursing and midwifery care in the aspects of practical field to meet expected needs and expectations and to promote, maintain and restore health of individuals, families and communities in common, simple and complex health problems/situations.

The requirement for Admission

The students will have to get GPA 7.00 in S.S.C and H.S.C/Equivalent (jointly) from Science group with a Biology background with GPA 3.00 in the current year and 1 year back. If GPA is less than 3 (in S.S.C and H.S.C) he/she will not able to apply for this course. Students will be selected on the basis of admission test conducted by Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC). Those who got minimum 40 marks in the admission test will be eligible for getting admission in our College.

POST BASIC B.SC IN NURSING

B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) is a two-year duration undergraduate course in nursing. Nurses are healthcare professionals who often work in hospitals or outpatient facilities to provide hands-on care to patients by monitoring their medical condition, administering medications, maintaining records and communicating with doctors. In post basic BSc Nursing (also referred to as PBBSc), candidates are provided a holistic mixture of classroom lectures and hands-on training. Admission to the course is usually done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written entrance exam conducted at University/Institute level. However, some institutions also provide direct admission to candidates on the basis of merit. Bachelor of Science in Post Basic Public health Nursing is a graduate degree, which followed the curriculum of Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council. It helps to improve the standard of nursing service and brings it to the international level. The course consists of two years and designed for registered Nurses who completed diploma in nursing/Diploma in nursing science and midwifery/diploma in midwifery/ orthopedics Nursing.

The requirement for Admission

Must be Completed of Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery course. Must be Registered By Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery council. The applicants must have passed in BNMC regulated admission test according to BNMC rules.

Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery

A Diploma in Nursing Science & midwife provides counseling, care and support to women and newborn during and after pregnancy, labor pains and early delivery. She helps women make decisions about various health services by keeping them under their care during pregnancy and provides advice on health and child care. A midwife is personally responsible for the health of both the mother and the child and advises to see a gynecologist if medical complications occur during pregnancy or birth. A midwife provides services at hospitals and community health centers.

The requirement for Admission

The applicants must have passed both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations from any groups preferably Science from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or any other board of Bangladesh. The applicants must have GPA not less than 2.5 in SSC & 2.5 in HSC examination. The candidates will apply within 03 (Three) years of passing HSC or equivalent Examination. Medical (Physical and Mental) fitness will be essential before admission. Student should be unmarried. Age limit: up to 22 years.
